Black Skull Corps of Fife & Drum 2012, Annual Indoor Band Contest

This year's Indoor Contest will be held on Saturday the 24th march and will take place in the War Memorial Halls Bishopbriggs.

Black Skull's Indoor Contest is one of the few indoor contest left within the band fraternity. Most Indoor band events are now Culture days but we feel it is important for us and the band fraternity to keep our event in a Contest format. Competition between bands is a healthy thing and is a good indicator on how well bands are doing on the musical front. Every year that we hold the contest, we see bands improving no-end, 'Which can't be a bad thing'

The Contest will start at 12pm until 6pm-approximately. This will be judged on the usual categories i.e. best flute section- best drum section- and so on. Results of the contest will be given after the last band has performed and Trophies awarded to the winning bands. There will be refreshments and hot food served all day. So why not have a great day out and come and support our Contest and the bands taking part.
