When the band close's down for the Festive Season band members like to hold their Annual Xmas & New Year Parties, and this year was no different. This year the members decided to hold their xmas party in the band hall instead of going into the town

16th December, was the night band members chose to hold their own xmas party. As expected the party went on to wee small hours of the morning, and a good night had by one and all.

As part of the entertainment it was decided to have a "quiz night" compered by "Gary Stewart"
who did a fantastic job ( amazing what a few drinks can do for your personality ) After the Quiz and everyone having had a few refreshments, Mr Stewart Introduced "pick the box up with your teeth without bending your legs" was a scream' the surprise of the night was 'Aldo,the praying mantis', he found something he was actually good at, and won the contest hands down, or should I say feet down.
As part of the festivities everyone had to bring a present. which was put into santa's sack, and band members, "when called" picked one out at random. "Bearing in mind it was a male only party" So you can Imagine what kind of gifts were going to be pulled out of santa's sack' ( It was commented by one member on seeing the kind of presents being opened' "How many of them went into a shop and bought those gifts as he would be too embarrassed to go in the shop, never mind buy from it"

The best present was kept till last for young Mr Mersey who got a pleasant surprise when opening his present, he found he had a new partner. Something he has always wanted, albeit a blow-up kind. The place was in an up-roar but it has to be said, Alan took it in good fun. Mind you he didn't have much choice with this lot.
A Fantastic night was had by one and all, so much so, some are already planning for next year's party.

January 1st is a night that a lot of members -family- friends, look forward in the festive calendar
for approx 16years' the band has held a New Years Night party in the band hall.

It is a time when Band Business is forgot about and members-family-friends get together and let their hair down after a busy Chritmas -boxing day, with the kids etc. This night is for the adults. apart from 'the dominator' who help Mr Mac with the refreshments etc.

As on most New Years Night parties, it turned out to be a great night, the atmosphere-the humour-the entertainment was first class, everyone seem to have a great night and went home to recover' or in some cases, went else where to keep on partying.
