Black Skull Corps of Fife & Drums were asked to take part in the 2009, Maiden City Festival.

As part of the festival, the band was asked to perform a concert dedicated to William Love in the Apprentice Boys Memorial Hall.

Attendance at this event was on a ticket only basis, and the music that was performed was very well received by an appreciative audience.

Special Guests performing with the band were some members of the William King Memorial F.B.

At the end of the 2011 marching season, the BSG's Drum Major retired from the band.
This position in the band is now vacant for anyone wishing to apply for the post.
